SAFIERA’s primary goal is to determine and register, amongst other, the heat transmission values of fenestration, in particular, and other elements of the building envelope in general and to provide an independent, accurate, and reliable energy performance rating system based on the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) in America, methodology. SAFIERA is the Country representative of NFRC in South Africa.

Rated products will display the AAAMSA/SAFIERA logos. Each rated product will have a certificate which certifies that it has been energy rated. The ratings apply to the effect of the whole system including the relative contributions of glass and frame.
